...before waking to find him gone.
Open to me
in our secluded
mountain cottage, my Love
Far off the beaten tracks
of an invading world
Speak to me entrusted intimacies
that shall
never leave these walls
No trace of vengence-haunting
could they ever be
Sacred, the honor of
such gifts of Thee Wrestle here with me
in our sunshine-grass bed,
stray leaves tangled in our hair
A star-lit Universe beckoning Mystery
So seducing within your Knowing stare And with daring's hot passion
on our breath
fill me deep within
with warm fullness
of a magical moment
that may otherwise never be Pray, wait until my eyes are closed
and comforting fairylands have
nestled me in their escaping embrace
to rise from my soft profile Don't let me see you, my Darling,
peeking longingly out the window
to that earthly road
Keep me safe from your wanderings
Let me foolishly believe
that my heart
could be gift enough to
still your feverish need Return to my dreams
before I awaken
with a gentle lily offering
for each flushing cheek,
and move once again
strong beside me
into our sanctuary solace bliss Let the beckoning promises
of the distant more
be for now... and smile grateful contentment
into each other's eyes
Happy enough
for a cherished gift
that could never be
named,
only held suspended in time
hidden within
the saving green valley
amid the grueling mountain climbs
that brought us together.

(posting problems, so cont...)fayte, leo and pix as well. I did write it at a time when I was most happy...before. I knew. The Universe has other plans...but even knowing, doesn't change feelings in the heart or really prepare you. He was most honorable and giving.
Unlike the poem, holding my hand as we said goodbye.
I always reassured him, when it came time for his path to travel another way, I would let go of his hand, crying tears in the sunset for missing him...but praying for his happiness. And that's just how I feel.
He will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will always think fondly of him.
I was blessed for a time...
and will always remember.
