WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS Haul out the holly; Put up the tree before My spirit falls again. Fill up the stockings, I may be rushing things, But deck the halls again now. For we need a little Christmas Right this very minute, Candles in the window, Carols at the spinet. Yes, we need a little Christmas Right this very minute. It hasn't snowed a single flurry, But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry; So climb down the chimney; Turn on the brightest string of lights I've ever seen. Slice up the fruitcake; It's time we hung some tinsel On that evergreen bough. For I've grown a little leaner, Grown a little colder, Grown a little sadder, Grown a little older, And I need a little angel Sitting on my shoulder, Need a little Christmas now. For we need a little music, Need a little laughter, Need a little singing Ringing through the rafter, And we need a little snappy "Happy ever after" Need a little Christmas now. We need a little Christmas now! © Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman IP: Logged |

Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King! Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled." Joyful, all ye nations, rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With th'angelic host proclaim, "Christ is born in Bethlehem." Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!Christ, by highest heav'n adored: Christ, the everlasting Lord; Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the favored one. Veil'd in flesh, the Godhead see; Hail, th'incarnate Deity: Pleased, as man, with men to dwell, Jesus, our Emmanuel! Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King! Hail! The heav'n-born Prince of Peace! Hail! The Son of Righteousness! Light and life to all He brings, Risen with healing in His wings Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man no more may die: Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth. Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King! IP: Logged |

The first Noel the angels did say Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay; In fields where they lay keeping their sheep On a cold winter's night that was so deep.Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. They looked up and saw a star Shining in the East, beyond them far, And to the earth it gave great light, And so it continued, both day and night. Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. And by the light of that same star Three wise men came from country far, To seek for a King was their intent, And to follow the star whereever it went. Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. This star drew nigh to the northwest; O'er Bethlehem it took its rest. And there it did both stop and stay, Right over the place whcre Jesus lay. Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. Then they did know assuredly Within that house, the King did lie One entered in then for to see And found the babe in poverty. Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. Then entered in those wise men three, Full reverently, upon bended knee, And offered there, in His presence, Their gold and myrrh and frankincense. Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. If we in our time do well We shall be free from death and hell For God hath prepared for us all A resting place in general. Chorus Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel. IP: Logged |

Silent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright. Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child. Holy infant so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight. Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia, Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born! Silent night, holy night! Son of God love's pure light. Radiant beams from Thy holy face With dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus Lord, at Thy birth. Silent night, holy night! Wonderous star, lend thy light; With the angels let us sing, Alleluia to our King; Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born! IP: Logged | |
