Opening my eyes this morning, I was greeted by the most beautiful face that I have ever seen. An angel, weary from the day's flying had chosen to pass the evening on this cloud with me. As if sensing the weight of my gaze upon her skin, she slowly opened her eyelids to reveal the softest brown eyes, possessed of ten times the power required to draw me in. A heavenly hint of a smile, then she quickly turned away from me..and was gone. I knew that I had to follow her, find that face again and invite it to stay, invite her to settle into that place that she had touched, so deeply in my heart. So I leaped a leap of faith over that beautiful body, only to have the blankets collapse empty beneath me as I landed on the other side of her. Where she had been, there was only a slight depression, a tender memory and the lingering scent of an angel's wings.
