wow!!

very nice 26t!!

the waterlilies are especially well done technically ......the linear perspective of the waters surface makes me feel like i could bend over into the painting and see my reflection in the glassy water....=P

petron, thank you. That second one looks much better now that I fixed it up. I almost trashed it.

the first one was my first attempt at a new technique i'm homeschooling myself on. I was introduced to it from a book on watercolor i rented from the library and it's my new favorite thing to do - negative painting. Ive rented out all the books there on watercolor a dozen times, since I cant afford to take lessons.
I'll get better as I go.

...watercolor is such a hard medium to master!!! :0
-- stimulating, I mean. Not hard, stimulating.
that's what I have to keep telling myself.
practice, practice, practice. is what I keep reading.

lotus, arent you an artist too? would love to see some of your work!! what mediums do you use?

Thanks again, friends.

Thank you so much, MK!

...the virgo part of me wants to jump back into the first one and add somethings. but as i've learned (the hard way) more details can ruin a painting, especially a watercolor. i'm learning when to stop, when to just leave it alone. and I wanted to try to keep the dreamlike, 'forgotten' quality of it.
i realize the hyacinths....well, might look like some other kind of flower, but we can pretend. lol!!

Taurus

Amazing artwork! Especially the watercolor, it takes a lot of skill and talent to keep this transparent clean feel about it.
My watercolor attempts always turns into something muddy...lol.

Thank you for sharing

Thank you, Kamilla!!

The two best tips Ive learned:

*let every layer and wash dry FULLY before starting the next one (so important)

*practice

I can see youve already got the artistic talent! So with practice, i'm sure you could be painting amazing watercolors!!
