Sounds like it also has to do with the dissolution of the ego, and the peeling away of the various shells or layers that we hide behind. I remember at least once when I took Ecstasy, the approach of the drug is like gradually taking off, or flinging off, your accessories and garments, both material and psychological, until you were essentially naked with others and with yourself. And coming down from the clouds, the return to the earth from heaven was like a process of putting things back on, bit by bit, until "my" money was all back in "my" pockets, and my guard was back up. I think, whether you go into the heavenly spheres, or the underworld, it is a similar experience, and it may even be the same one. Thanks, I'll definitely check out the story. IP: Logged |

------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged | |
