My sister got me a drawing tablet for Christmas: (Mine's black with a glowing blue ring around that big button on top)I've been slow in getting to know it and the programs that came with it. This is a trace I did of a photo: Hopefully it works. Photobucket is closed for maintenance. IP: Logged |

PC. It seems like a really fun program. There's still one of the bundled programs I haven't tried out yet.IP: Logged |

That looks like a really fun toy Your girlfriend is a beauty! What do you mean "trace" of a photo? Does the program just take a picture and show it in trace form like Microsoft Paint or other products like that? I ask because I did a sketch of a black and white photo of my daughter when she was younger and I wondered if you sketched that or the computer sketched it from a picture, which is what I think you are saying. It looks awesome, so if you sketched it I'm going to have to get out the mouth-drop emoticon... A friend and I had the mall machine do a sketch of us when we were sitting in the booth thingie, it reminds me of that. So, that's the Van Gogh option groovy

What this program does...at least in the instance we're talking about...is give you virtual tracing paper, so there's a photograph that looks like that, and I took my new handy-dandy computer drawing pencil and traced over the significant lines. So in this case it wasn't an automatic drawing generated by the computer, but rather the computer helped me out by providing the ability to trace. I had various pen and brush options available as well if I wanted to try it a different way. When I get home tonight I'll try to remember to post the picture this was traced off of. IP: Logged |

$100! Can you believe that? (It comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0, Nikon Color Efex Pro 2.0, and Corel Painter Essentials 3.) http://direct.wacom.com/stores/5/ I've got the Bamboo Fun. Apparently they have nicer ones. Oh, and now that I look at it, I have the small one...which is fine because my desk space is at a premium. IP: Logged |

This doesn't look stellar obviously, but it was a fun experiment. It's part trace, and part paint. [image removed] IP: Logged |
