T,

yeah this is all recent. I started this thread just to write things out as I've been feeling them lately. No real purpose other than that really. Anyone is welcome to add to it.

Hi Nosis I can tell you have a similar curiosity to me! Love your style. Have you done any creative writing workshops?

Quinnie!

Thank you! What curiosity do you mean? I'm not sure I get your meaning, specifically.

I've not gone to any workshops really. My first love was drawing and I'm going for a Bachelors in Fine Arts but I've always loved to write as well. I've always had a great love for words and playing with them comes quite naturally.

I share them here at LL to help show myself and also in the hopes of finding other people to share, communicate and further our creativities along the way.

Please feel free to let yourself be here! You won't be ignored. I may take some time to respond now and then (because of schoolwork) but I will definitely respond.

W(I)e Can Speak to Angels

There is a life for me
Beyond the wounded absence
And the pain that harbors in it.

Whatever is that essence?
Lord?
Whatever is that knowledge?
It was never explained enough,
No! Not to satisfaction.
We all know many things
And may search for more, and deeper,
But what this is
Is no more unveiled
Than the coming of the Reaper.

Oh! Pain,
You lively wakener,
We often do invite you!
And such a leech you may become
For exits don't become you!

Lord?

I often have become a stench
Of writhing, bitter bile
But Lord! Oh Lord!
Oh help me press this essence
To the ground...

"No. Let go.
Just let it float on by.
The effort is your own abode:
Your composed lullaby.
Beseech the Help of helps unto
Your silver love of gold
And watch it all arrest and soothe
All that you do not know."

Oh. Uh...

Oh.

Oh!

Thank you!!!

By curiosity I mean making sense of in between the lines and to the idea that some subjects aren't poetic. do you know what I mean? It could be because you study art (another appreciation i have) and it makes you look at still life and inanimate objects differently and thats maybe transferred to your overall thought perspective

Truth cannot be possessed
I Loved this one Nosis, very much a belief of mine and I wrote something similar about thoughts being fleeting and not the truth becuase they only of the moment.

There is a spiritual flavour to your poems that you owe to yourself to explore.Who knows you could end up channeling something from your past life

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. This perspective has its luster but it can also be detrimental. In my youth I had a very highly idealized view of life and I spent most of my time daydreaming a lot. There's plenty of good in that but there comes a time when a person must see the reality of the world if they want to be a relative force upon it. I have grown and progressed much (with still a way to go) and throughout that growth I nearly lost this quality which you've noticed. A fraction of it still remains within my art. It's difficult to see the world for what it is and still maintain the sight of what it could be. That, however, is our destiny.

"Truth cannot be possessed", yes. I'm sure someone else has written this same sentiment before because I'm certain I've read it somewhere. I wrote this in response to a post I read here in LL that made me react inside. This site does that a lot for me. I read a lot of posts that make me think and feel intensely and I often write a lot of things as a product.

Your "spritual" comment is uplifting and a bit ironic. I've tried very hard in the past to write with "spiritual flavour" and failed in that respect. No matter how hard I tried my writing was always purely personal and there contained, but there were fragments here and there that were the seeds. I see what you mean about these poems here. I didn't try to do anything but to lay down exactly what I feel and this is the strongest sense of "something" that I think I've ever captured. All from nOthing.

Thank you so much for responding and sharing. These are the kinds of exchanges that have always helped me here at LL.

Blessings,

Trinity?

Father,

Is there anything
That You do not know?
I've wondered
That,
Perhaps,
Because if there was
A single thing -
Why would that then
Be blasphemous?

Many say
That there is naught
Beyond that which You know
And many say
That Faith is spayed
If this were not just so.

I've wondered, Pa,
About this much
'Cause I don't think it wrong.
If Your Image was
My template,
Then
What harm could there be done?

Come on, Dad.
Confess.
I know you must ask Mom.

I love writing through things.
I haven't written since before I was pregnant!

I used to write my wrongs and troubles and wanderings.
I'd love to get to a place where I wander with words instead of wondering the wonder of them.

Thanks for your meanderings

You're most welcome, pixelpixie!

Your confession here reminds me of the waves of these emotional waters. That wandering will come again soon. I thoroughly enjoy it each time because of how alive it makes me feel. I can only imagine how difficult life can get through motherhood but, within it, you are writing the kinds of poems that could only be dreamt of until realized.

Cheers to you, oh greatest poet!

Whereperson

I'm turning into...

myself?

Of course! Of course it is...
I mean...I am!
There is no other product
For this intricate equation.
Anything I do
Is everything I am!
Don't mind the moments sitting
In confusing confrontation...

Some often love to say,
"That's not you, dear.
You're taller than that."
Their measurement, though,
Is yet another mask
Confining all behind it's task.

We can measure, though,
Can't we?
Now just what's the flaw in that?

I'm not writing of the elements
Involved in constitutions!
This is all about unraveling
This wholly warped illusion!

Don't...

You...

Get it?!?!

How can whatever I just did
Not be me?
I am whoever just did it
And, even now, I'm he.

Of course, I should concede
That I am not what I did
But we both know
That's not really how you meant it.

Autopotency

Through these eyes
No one else may see.
Through these eyes
Lies no one else but me.
In all my looking
Outward at the world,
In all my seeking
Lavished of my being,
There have been turns
Upon that songbird's tune
That spiraled near
And faced its wings within.

O, Vision!
What an angel!
By your gifts do you expose
The beauty of visages,
Both ours and those of God,
But your self is so disposed
To lie in shadows of these loves.
We only know to use you
In the way that is ordained,
Though, if suffused by your own precious gift,
How would one fare your flame?

Solvent (A Poem on Writing Poetry)

A writing in eccentria?
A rushing of the sword?
It pours and conjugates my soul.
I lather in its oil.

What frequency is mattered
By this instant act of freedom?
Oh, do not negate my liberty
With dateless ideation!
I know where thoughts do go
As I so often trace their paths -
And curious is everything as
Nothing is writ in stone. No?

I tell you I am free in this!
This is no circus act!
This writing's but a passenger
Of what I here confess!
There is no contradiction
Nor any truthless thing.
This writing's but a passenger
of what my heart does sing.

So what's this fine surprise
In which my soul is so invested?
This forming of some triggered words
And some that cause congestion?
Is it fervor? Inspiration?
Or perhaps just perturbation?
I am not a servant! I am no miscreant!

I am the answers to my questions.

It's Not a Question to Me

I am an Ego.
I am an I.
An Ego eyes in me.
My Ego sees
The I I am,
The sound of what is me.
Not what there might,
Nor what there could
Nor what there seems to be -
But what my Ego does now see
Is what my will will be.
So give them peace
And love them so
For they are jewels of Love.
Like Fëanor's blesséd silmarils,
Egos are crafts above
The crafts of any humankind.
They preserve the primeval grove.
See yourself for what you are
For as you are am I.
Egos alight in all of us -
A brilliant inner sky -
And as you will, I may well not
Be as willing to subdue it.
I am wont to fuel my Ego,
This living coal of Spirit,
And I shall feed this hearth with song.
I ripen in its resin.

A Question of Trespasses

A question well worth posing,
Though difficult to ask:
Is there such a thing as excessive Forgiveness?
For what good is the result
Of all our graceful interaction
And the purpose in our confrontation
If it all fell in flat dimension?
To forgive! All must be given this chance!
Oh, so hard it is!
'Tis difficult to set free our valid reasons
For not forgiving.

Forgive and Forget -
That's what many have adopted.
Who really carries forth as such?
It seems so impossibly practical.
I can't hardly be alone,
Let alone one of a few,
That has trouble with forgiving
And much more so with forgetting.
I can forgive to an extent
And, yes, there does exist a gamut
That tells of what my Soul's strength may
Or may not endure by fractions.

It seems that much is surely lost,
When speaking in generalizations,
That often sets our Minds in spells
Of absent-minded thinking.
The irony of that! One surely has to laugh!
Yet seldom does the joke impact
Its audience with alarm
For quickly do the Minds fall back
Into the spells so seamlessly.
It's not that we are dumb
Nor that there is no hope.
Perhaps this is a process by
Which all must undergo?
A list of steps to undertake
Entrenched in Universal code?

We all have heard of many ways
To reach the summit of the mountain
But, certainly, our path ahead
Is traversed by our own walking.
"We should do this and not do that"
Is the condition of experience,
Though hardly do we ever know
Until we're through the fear of it.

That sound advice that's ever-wise
(Forgive and keep forgiving)
Is not a law but an aspiration.
Some things are unforgivable.
I judge and try not to forget
Both my experiences
And my humanity.

Living in White Gypsum

How can you know all the answers
When you don't even know all the questions?
Perhaps the taste of sorbet
Has finally found a forte?
Indulgence, semi-sweet
And promulgated openly,
Is twice more the sword
Than most have thought
And ever knew to harness.
Every question has a story
And its ending is no answer
So throw the throne over the thrown.
Make gold of all the plaster.
