I walked down two blocks and turned around
and saw only your reflection in the window
and knew you weren’t there, as you never were.
Carried on walking and continued with my daily tasks
thinking why you left me abruptly.
My heart shattered and I felt the pieces cutting through my skin.
Look who walks with an injured heart.
Look who walks on the side arteries.
Is there a heart doctor nearby as
my heart can’t take this anymore?
What’s the procedure to mend a broken heart?

Walking down the street and the air smells of you.
There’s that nauseating feeling inside of me and I
turn around and I see
you standing there, looking straight through me.
I walk up to you, grin at you and walk right past you.
Nothing was said and all around was golden.
I have a new heart to love and nurture.
Really was simple, I just changed my taste in lovers.
