"Sure Saturn holds no sway where Pluto ever rules the day..." I couldn't help thinking this as I was reading. Not quite in the same words, but you've said it beautifully. IP: Logged |

Thanks! Author's note:
This is still a work in progress, i think. I was just trying to fit a bunch of striking images, ideas, and word combinations together, but maybe they dont all go together... It is still muddled, but I kind of like that somewhat... maybe its just that the complexity makes me feel smart... but i like the idea of the poem as something that is not entirely logical.. something you cant pin down or put in a box... a working, reworking, and intertwining of multiple themes. There is a lot I could say about it, though, to try to explain what i intended in places (and, yes, there is clear intention in places).. but mostly its just about the difference between Saturn and Pluto. I see a lot of room for improvement in this "poem", but a lot to work with as well. Right now, I'm just trying to get some things out of me, get them down on paper, and eventually I hope to give them a more coherent and concrete form. love, hsc

I've been having some pretty intense Pluto transits (conjunct my ascendant and before that my sun). I think I'm really starting to feel somewhat Plutonian. It's definitely a distinct darkness but it complements that dark side of Sag-- something I'm comfortable with, having my sun in the 12th house of doom and gloom anyway. IP: Logged |

Thats intense, future.Good luck with Pluto. Its no picnic learning how to channel those energies; all that power and unrelenting insight can be hectic, to say the least. Sometimes you just want to say, "Alright, already!, Stop showing me things! Give me a minute to catch my breath and put this other stuff to use!" I have a lot of Sag, too. Nothing in my 12th house though (just Pluto transiting there). I think the 12th is fascinating; such a tremendous ocean of images and insights to draw upon; easy to lose yourself there, I would imagine. Wishing you peace with Pluto. Go with it! What choice have you got. Transitting the Ascendant... Think of it as giving birth to a new you! IP: Logged |

Yeah... and right now I'm in labor! You're so right about all of that. I'm also fascinated with the 12th house. I'd love to discuss these Pluto transits with you sometime. It's been... WHOA! Ya know? IP: Logged |

I havent had any major pluto transits in years, but I'm a scorpio w/ pluto squaring my Asc, and my chart ruler (saturn) is in the 8th. I'd really like to hear anything you have to say about Pluto transitting your 12th. You are on the back end of that, and I'm just going into it, and I'd like to know what to expect, you know? The interpretations I've read are really vague, but, then, I suppose it is difficult to be clear when dealing with the 12th. I'm glad I dont have to deal with t.Pluto conjunct Sun, ouch! IP: Logged |

In reply to your "Authors Note" post. The illogical phrases and thoughts in my opinion are usually the most revealing and splendid aspects of one's work. The deciphering or decoding after all is what really makes the mind come alive, and receive inspiration. You mentioned this still needed some work, on the contrary, I think the unedited, uncut, raw version of anything is always the best!! I appologize for jumping in here and bogarting with my philosophies, but I can relate to what you have conveyed artistically on many levels.. Thanks.. and Pearlty IP: Logged |

"You who pierced supernal light, and found again infernal night, --"Mmmm, that is breathtaking and pierces right to the heart. This one took some study, but it is worth it. I love the last stanza.

Hey Pearlty, I hear you. I'm so ambivalent.. I like clarity... and communicating definite impressions and ideas, but i also like it when art is open to interpretation, and capable of suggesting very different things to different people. I dont mind making people work for it, but I usually want to provide a coherent solution at the end of the tunnel, and not just a labrynthian knot that further increases their confusion, and/or suggests conclusions that i do not intend, and which will (likely) be attributed to myself, as the author. It is a slippery slope. But lately I was hearing one of my favorite artists (filmmaker Vincent Gallo) saying that art is purposeless, and that is what makes it so transcendent. Maybe I have a heavy hand, and try too hard to direct the flow, rather than just letting my "daemon" speak thru me... Just some things I'm thinking about lately. I know what you mean about the uncut, unedited, raw version... (some of my favorite Nirvana recordings are bootlegs, and nearly everything by Daniel Johnston is that way, and thats part of the charm; part of what makes the music breathe with such vibrancy and sincerity).... but even the above draft was worked and reworked from a bunch of utterly disjointed notes... It makes me think of something Picasso said about knowing when the work is finished, and how that is what makes or breaks a work of art (something like that).. and another artist (i forget who) said that a work of art is never finished; it is only abandoned. I relate to that. I'm always growing and seeing it from so many sides, and asking more questions, so, I really have to abandon things, or else, i just end up in an endless digression, or something. Thanks for listening, and I'm so glad you like the poem. <3Thanks, Melody. Yeah, the last one is my fav too. IP: Logged |
