That is YOUR work?Amazing!!! The hummer reminds me of The Phoenix, arising, death to birth...cyclic.. Your dad makes me feel melancholy, much like I am sitting on the beach, with my thoughts upon the Gulf... Fabulous!!! IP: Logged |

Thank you all! NosiS, I was hoping someone would ask and also curious as to what medium it appears to be in to another set of eyes. Yes, the first one was done in charcoal, ink, watercolor, and graphitint pencils. The second, graphite, graphitint and watercolor pencils. Thank you. LEXX, yeah, I guess. lol And thanks. Hippi, Yeah, as it started coming along I realized it was beginning to look like a phoenix! So I was careful not to add to much orange or red, because I thought that might suggest fire and then it would really be confusing, because it would look more like a phoenix than a hummingbird. Originally I wanted to keep the whole thing somewhat light, especailly around the wings, but it took on a life of it's own and ended up darker than id envisioned or intended. Thanks, Z! Yeah, I might just have to try that. IP: Logged |

I like the one of your Dad the best.I scroll back and forth over the hummingbird shots and watch the color aura shimmer in and out like a Grateful Dead t-shirt spiral. I like the wire art... what is that called... "wire art"? Next time title the thread "MY new art"!!
