alone in my living room
shadows my only light
i strum my guitar
and fumble through songs
i alwasys wondered if i ever would write
i think about if you will ever come home
wonder why i wait
when i have waited so long
and you are so very far away
the crowd the people the so called friends
slip out back to find forbidden love again
to return to the side
of the one they profess to love
and my heart is just sad
how am i alone so alone
with all of these smiling talking nosy people
crowding my head
crowding my life
and all i want to do is sit up
alone and play my guitar by the shadows
and fumble through songs
and wait some more for you to come home
and think of yesterday
and i want to scream
i want to scream
why can't you see the one good thing
and i smile at the fake fake people
and i wish i was alone
in the shadows
clumsily strumming my guitar
and waiting for you
