Very good, in true Scorpio style. The style (as in Dylan Thomas, Sylvia Plath, and, yeah, Anne Sexton, who I was commenting on the other day) is something I consciously try to imitate, but it takes me a monumental effort to do so, and I also don't have the capacity to express my feelings, especially not with that same lushness. thanx, Xena. i want to read "adventures in the skin trade" i heard its good. sunshine lion, your words are sort of cryptic, and i'm not sure what you mean. this is a poem using impotence as an analogy for writer's block (or vice versa, i suppose, depending on how you look at it).
LTT, Don't encourage me!
Mystic Melody, Awesome quotes! Thank you.

I think I read this with the same idea in my head as sunshine... Sounds like a man who is involved with a woman that has several suitors... But I get what you're saying, and that makes sense too... all perception, I suppose... Still sexy... IP: Logged |

yes, ghani, he is involved with a girl who has several "suitors". he either is, or feels, impotent, on account of this. and the analogy is of a writer who cannot write, it seems, because he is too hard on himself, and he expects too much from himself, -- while other people settle for less, and have no trouble writing; or, at least, "scribbling and scrawling their filthy impressions". Its like he cant write at all if it isn't a reflection of his best. The way I see it, he can only make love, he can't just f*ck. So, meanwhile, his girl is getting f*cked by all these cheeseballs who dont know the first thing about making love.

I know someone you should meet, HSC... Well, not really, I guess.. but there are a lot of traces of "you" in "him"... if that makes any sense... How I treat myself like a martyr for only me to see... Ghani IP: Logged |

Aww, man....It's never a "her" that somebody wants me to meet. It's always a "him". IP: Logged |
