Inspiration is a fickle thing,
It comes from the most unlikely sources,
In the moments of pain or boundless joy,
It sparks your pen, and lights your soul...
Some days you wish,
you could control the flow,
Or censor the raw tides,
As your heart splits open-wide.
I love to see where,
the words seep,
As they march through my mind,
and keep me from sleep.
It hurts to ride the soulful wave
And it's best left only to those who brave,
Those plummeting valleys,
Leaving no inch of heart unscathed.
