I'm just curious... I swear, everytime I come here to see some awesome writing and read creativity, they've been edited away!!!!It's so sad. I have things left here from 2004!!! It's nice to see old writing, and I wish people would keep their words here as a record of where they were- writing is a cathartic process, and I would really love to be able to share and learn and read. Don't be shy! Leave up your poetry!!!! IP: Logged |

I don't like to keep them up for privacy. If people want another look I don't mind reposting, but for the most part, I just want to keep it as my own.IP: Logged |

Yeah *wistful sigh* I guess... I swear, the other day I was here and every post I clicked on, it was erased. I thought it was some new trend. I have erased some super personal or stupid impulsive ones....but I try so hard to overcome that insecure voice, and just let it be, even if I'd like to fix a million things about it. IP: Logged |

I deleted all of mine when I entered some of them in writing contests at school. I have to assume that they could be cross-checked to ensure authorship and I was worried a google search might lead here, which would result in a lot of personal info getting into the wrong hands. It bums me out when I see that an intriguing post has been deleted, so it was disappointing for me to make the decision I did. I still feel it had to be done, but I kind of miss being a part of the fabric here. IP: Logged |

Ack! Yeah, I did win, but I didn't mean to imply that I was big time. What I meant is that the university takes plagiarism pretty seriously, and it's common practice to google snippets of submissions to ensure authenticity. Anyway, the thought made me a bit paranoid-- enough that I didn't want a trail.

Damn google. Seriously, don't google your name, unless you have a glass of wine or something first. EEEK. I almost erased tons of stuff that I've written here, and about half of my pic off of photobucket, but in the end, I felt like Pixel, I mean, this IS my life. I DID do the stuff I wrote about, so, it's part of the journey, and if someone reads it and judges me, well then, I guess they've never been human OR they've never been brave enough to talk about it!But, I do understand the poetry stuff. I only put a slim, tiny bit of mine up. The ones I do have on here throughout time look nothing, or very far from what they look like now because I have posted them here before revision. Something about seeing it in black and white LIVE helps with the revising, I think. Congrats Future, on your contest! IP: Logged |

I've googled people before and sometimes if something is gone, I've used the 'cached version' on google and sometimes it is still there! Or archive.org Just thought I'd mention that. IP: Logged |

It's one of the perks/perils of being such a popular site.------------------ "To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing." Aristotle IP: Logged |
