We clicked from the beginning
a sparkle in our eyes
With him, I was so trusting
and felt my heart song rise

He treated me so gently,
my heart treasured in his care
We shared our hopes and hugs,
reveled in Disney dusted air

He's brought to me unshaking faith
Steadfastness I never knew
I know he's by my side with pride
and I can see the darkness through

My voice used to be locked in paper
confined to reflective poems
I was scared to be known completely
Convinced I would ever roam

I've opened up so totally
learned how to speak my truth
He wants to know my secrets,
supports my dreams and fears

I know what it's like to be wanted
I know how to let down my guard
There's nothing I can't overcome
When I give up the "ice mask" so hard

(btw....i found it interesting how you started the poem with "7 years ago"......that would indicate a Saturn square....& a Saturnian type relationship-poem at this time in yours... Or as Linda often refered to a "Saturn Seven year Cycle".

Those can be the most karmic, cementing, yet deeply loviing relationships out there. If you can grow together and get through them.......you can make it to those milestones and come out, as a couple stronger than ever. As with all Saturn transits, there will be tests and it could be hard, ...depressing....but if you make it through, you will surely love and respect each other even more than you did in the beginning. In the end, Saturn is about growth. & you will be tested in these ways most especially every seven years.

I wish you the best. He's lucky to have such a romantic, sweet loving soul as his partner and I hope he recognizes this too.

Thanks for the comments! Our relationship is very Saturn-based, w/plenty of Saturn aspects in our synastry, including my Saturn opposite his Venus, my Saturn conjunct his Mars (7 degree orb), his Saturn sextile my Mercury, his Saturn square my Venus (7 degree orb), his Saturn square my Jupiter, and his Saturn almost exactly opposite my North Node.

I met him when Saturn had just entered my 5th house, and Jupiter was almost exactly conjunct my 7th house cusp.
