Thankful for anything

and every one my path's crossed

Whether you'll ever know

How much you mean

How you've made me cry

or brought on my screams

The way you talk in circles

or the way you speak direct

I have learned so much

and I'm learning yet

Without your propulsion

I'd be wandering another way

Whether we've shared a lifetime or not

you've brightened my day

I feel so much more around you

you people so resolute

Strong in your convictions

when my heart can't follow suit

I will always remember

the love we exchange

the beauty of purpose

now we're both rearranged

Each person brings new waves

new intense tides of mood

Tastes of heaven or valleys

I learn to soar and to brood
