a glorious cycle beyond my dreams

I wouldn't trade a single moment

for this day that unfolded without a seam

The coals of tune were dormant

left to bide years in the dark

When the time was right, they came alive

with a well-intentioned spark

You cannot see what reignites your fire

you won't know til the match is lit

Then flames blaze out past all containment

and you could not feel a greater fit

The flames of now bring greater peace

inspire closeness instead of cold

When the familiar can be born again

Open your heart and just take hold
