Topic: Art, what is it, can it be enjoyed?

Is art accessible to the masses?What I mean by this is whether or not art exists in everyday actions, yet is not appreciated by those engaged in the everyday? For example Is not food beautiful? Should it be seen this way? Art, the way it should be viewed, is the individual's interpretation and self expression being exposed at least..to themselves. After studying the "7 intelligences" it bothers me, truthfully, that artistic intelligence, did not make the list. What is "art" and can it be appreciated by anyone? IP: Logged |

everything is art in some shape or form... It's all energy, and different people are drawn to different types.If you laugh at an 'odd' situation, listening to others talk, and have an epiphany about their conversation, and all that's going on around you.. it may not be seen by all, but it is beautiful and strange to you. If you smile at the texture of the food you eat, feeling it smoosh in your mouth, get stuck in your teeth, and run warmly down your throat- this too, is art. Simply the enjoyment of reality, or what we may 'deem' reality.. this is all beautiful- for us all.. IP: Logged |

I think it - art, in some form or another, is appreciated by everyone even without them realizing it. People gravitiate towards what they find beautiful and that will be something different for everyone.But I have noticed that likeminded people appreciate the same or similar types of art. You can tell a lot about a person by what they find beautiful or pleasing to their eyes.  I find it kind of fascinating...can give great insight into a person...their innerworkings, heart and mind. Beauty surrounds us all the time. Amazing what people's vision can pull out of their surroundings, that they find poetic or moving. Beauty is everywhere, if you stop and look.
