Disillusioned, sick of stares
Bring on numbness, clear and fair

Show me it's worth a tenuous grip
Restore my faith, for I'm starting to slip

Why must people play others for fun,
what disturbed victory is won?

Never give, only take
Hamper our progress with a smile so fake

Apathy becomes a mask
guides me past the one who basks

Stay away, keep a wide berth
I don't need your empty mirth
