I was shocked out of my senses For a moment, looking back-- Our communion, ring of light, Collapsed on words and shrank to black. So minutely catastrophic (Speaking subtly off the beam) Was it ever trust we had-- If destroyed by one rogue dream? Sometimes I wonder what sounds are Ancient music, atavistic... Perhaps we just in unison Translate too well our shared linguistic. I spoke and revelations came Like through a crack in time My thoughts and speech divided Where your mind excelled to shine. You must've thought me rude. I'm apologies incarnate-- But secondly, between myselves I fear the voltage current. Can we just speak of cosmic things Again and drown in stars? These sparks could just be glimmers of The bigger things we are. IP: Logged |

Comment: I was just rummaging through my Documents folder and found this rather unpolished poem that I wrote a while ago. I wrote it after a strange conversation with a childhood friend whom I had just reconnected with. This person seemed to have an uncanny grasp of how my mind works but still reacted badly to something I said, challenging me to re-examine some of my assumptions.Despite its flaws, I think it demonstrates pretty well how I have sometimes felt, having Pluto in my third house. Thanks for reading. IP: Logged |

I love it.I gravitate towards poems like this - very Pluto in the 3rd house. It's not flowery with young romantic drunken-lovey-doviness or longing or heartache or sappiness (makes me "ick" and cringe). There is sensitivity and beauty and depth in it.....insight and intensity. It's mature. Clear...human...strong. It also appeals to my Cappy rising and strong Saturn & Pluto in my chart, I think. I think it flows perfectly, is interesting....makes you want to know what the next line will be. The whole thing is Great, but this simple line hit me: quote: I'm apologies incarnate--
love it.

Thanks, T! I think your review here was more eloquent than my poem. I always have a hard time figuring out what to say. I tend to be happiest when I'm just quiet, minding my own business. But Leo rising, and Gemini Mars in my 11th house, compel me to go out and yakkety yak with everyone. What degree is your ASC, and what's your Saturn doing, if you don't mind my asking? I'm 15 degrees Cap, 6H, in mutual reception with 12H 0 Leo Saturn. IP: Logged |

ASC's at 18* Cap, first house is huge, but empty. Aquarius and Leo are intercepted in 1st and 7th. Saturn is in my 7th, in Leo. Square Sun, sextile Venus in Gemini in the 5th (can't remember other aspects off the top of my head).I also tend to be happiest when I'm quiet and minding my own business But for similar reasons (Gem & Leo placements), doesnt always happen, especially online. I've Mars in Leo too. So when someone messes with me, i get RAAWWWRRR on them to try to get them to go away. I'm actually a sweet laidback pussycat. It seems you have a knack for writing and poetry in general. Leo's expressiveness paired with Gemini placements make for great poets I've noticed. IP: Logged |

So, your ASC conjunct my sun helps explain for me why I so often agree with you wholeheartedly. Also my SN conjunct your sun. Also you are just smart so I like saying "ditto." quote: Originally posted by T: I also tend to be happiest when I'm quiet and minding my own business But for similar reasons (Gem & Leo placements), doesnt always happen, especially online. We are soooo similar in that respect. In real life I am very subtle about how I confront people, and I won't confront anyone if I think they will respond by hitting me. But online is a different story...some people say you're a coward if you have "courage" to say things online that you would never say face to face...well, I just think it's a level playing field of mind versus mind at that point. Totally different game altogether.

You are too nice, but I appreciate it! It's weird that Geminis have a reputation for being exasperating and fickle yet their writing can be so solid and wise. IP: Logged |

That explains a lot, yeah!

Exactly! I think in a way, every one does it to one degree or another (anyone who spends any amount of time communicating with people online anyway). Oddly, I never find myself in confrontations offline. I'm never afraid to 'speak up', but I think in offline life it's easier to convey much more - or get it across properly, so when I do speak my mind, people don't take it the wrong way or 'put up their dukes'. We usually easily work it out and I've never been in a fist fight. Weird how differently people can come across online (myself included). I've Merc conjunct Chiron in the 3rd house. I think that plays into it, for me a bit. Anyway, thanks for your response. I am about to take a major break from here. Felt bad just abandoining threads w/o any response, so i decided to check back in today. This place has a way of unsettling me and bringing out the worst side of me at times, so it's probably best if I ease off for awhile. I'll hang around for a bit and try to avoid certain people and hope they do the same, then it's time for a major 'vacation'. Nice talking with you. x IP: Logged |

Same here. In real life, I can put things delicately by watching other people and crafting my presentation according to cues I'm getting from their body language and so on. Online, I still do a bit of that, but sometimes I end up talking to people who I normally would not have gotten close enough to have a conversation with, their vibe is just so "off." I would have walked out of the room to spare myself from hearing them. I understand about needing a break; I've been here less and less these past two weeks or so. Some of the forums are pretty dead lately...the "family dysfunction," as you put it, seems to have put everyone at a standstill, especially at H&H and SweetPeas. Hope you come around again! Oh and you might want to check LLC 2.0 just in case a birthday thread pops up for you. Best wishes!
