These are the stumps I was talking about that I think would make great bird baths or planters (if the sawed side were used as the base):

The second one:

It's a bright day out there today.

...birdbaths for flamingos or ostriches, i take it??? They are ginormous! LOL

But yeah, would look pretty cool.

Especially that last pic.....that one looks like a splash of water frozen in time.

The might even look good with the larger part of the stump in the ground and a huge bowl on the flat surface.

They look like they weigh a ton and the second one almost reminds me of a sculpture that is supposed to be there....or something that washed up from out of the sea.

after some careful widdling down and smoothing, i think it could look exactly like one. a larger version of one...

....there's potential for it to become a hibiscus that way also.

head on, it kind of resembles a poppy too. in the last quoted photo, picture it painted red with a black center (after cutting down some of the center).

...actually either way, it would probably look better on it's side like it is, rather than trying to stick it in the ground. that might take a crane to do. lol

That would be cool as well. I think they both could be great art pieces in the right hands. I wish I could get my hands on smaller versions.

Yeah, it probably would take a crane, or some heavy equipment of some sort. It could be a nice centerpiece to some landscape architecture.
