Timeless crosswinds whisk gathering tempests across forked hiking paths.Mourning Doves seek refuge high in the crook of densely skirted tree. Earthly camouflaged warm bodies tethered in heat- Cosset together as one sweetly aloft forbearing in song while awaiting nature's pious calm. IP: Logged |

Vivid yes.... and also very earthy-sensual! Mature complicated art that paints all the layers and moods at-once, while looking at it overall. Such an intricate layering of things so private yet collective.... Love your work, Pearlty ~~ it's "SENSational!" IP: Logged |

Thanks Mirage.. I have this lovely pair of doves that come to my home every spring and make their nest here. I just love watching them, they're so beautiful, and provide a wonderful subject for poetry. IP: Logged |

A reflection of spirit warm benevolent embraces flood my being until at once I am sprung full of holes sprouting translucent pools of love.Never ashamed timid or bothered by this outpouring. It is the purest and finest who care in all these pursuits and endeavors reaping the cascading benefits of putting someone else graciously above yourself. Coming out of the circle reaching the clouds feeling full amidst the crowds peaceful, gaiety, light insightfully humble and happy. I have been in flight and heard the capacious call of the mourning dove. IP: Logged |

Oh! This is sooo Beautiful! What a connection, Pearlty. It's as though you 'see' intertwining living-breathing realities. Are you self-aware of your Gift as 'prophetess'? You have 'prophetic vision' or 'sight' INto other realms... yes? Some writers are not conscious of this.... Are you seeing this for yourself yet? When I see these certain words, my mind is prompted to play. Exchange and transpose these images:
You see Mourning doves... in the mornings The Morning's doves... are in mourning How Blessed these Doves are, that you are a witness from a parallel place in a wider consciousness... Thanks for your work and contribution, Pearlty! Gently laughing,... Me-thinks 'the prophet's words' (your poetry) has a healing resonance which is a profiting for my soul right now... aw heck... so sorry and I hope I'm not coming off too 'mushy' dreamy emotional for you? I really really like all this sophisticated "depth"! What a treat! Been Under-The-Influence of Spirit in these recent (and coming) astrological water waves.... (Hope you don't mind? Is this all being 'too much'...?)

Mirage, Too much? not at all, you're fine. As far as "seeing" yes I'm aware, and how that has coincided with poetry is- I'm able to place my mind in the heart or core of something, and slowly and methodically work my way combusting outwards. Example; a flower is not just a flower, a fragrant field is not something we take in and overlook, the spirit not a eh'- he/she is good or bad, scanty definitive perception. Instead I feel every fibrous intricacy pulsating underneath the surface. For writing and creativity it is indeed a blessed gift. However, personally with people on occasion- not always so. Seeing and expelling truth can feel harrowing mixed with a twinge of vulnerability for others, depending on the situation at hand. In any event, going in and going in-depth, I find those abundant channels we open and the reservoirs of energy we tap into- pour forth from myself more comfortably through poetry, visions, the notable occurrences- most don't take the time to "note", and an old "feeling" I pay attention to, not all together comprehensible, yet I've grown to appreciate it on an insightful level. I'm thrilled you resonate with the poetry, and it touches you somehow- as that has been the reason and driving force why I continue to write and share. It makes it all worth while and fruitful- so thanks again. IP: Logged |

The symbolism they enrapture is timeless.Reminds me of this poet's thought.. "That way of inspiration is always open, and open to everyone; it acts as go-between, interpreter, it explains symbols of the past in to-day's imagery" ~H.D. IP: Logged |

Pearlty, When I read PixJ's post earlier, her storyline reminded me of your doves... so I came by here and posted the URL quickly and left... (explanation). In this last poem (first line) 'Sometimes life is just plain beautiful'...(later lines)... I loved the kinesthetic sense when the page-words 'dropping out and making a blank space' for the 'sky'. You achieve with your words! I could sense the drop, then in my mind not seeing where they went! Clever. Then we find the criss-crossing effect as you say. You paint images with words, and MADE an image appear using letters and space-letting. You evoked in my mind a brilliant blue-sky memory of white birds, and their flight behavior patterns. We CAN personify them through 'symbols'.... You communicate so well. AND, I really liked your answer to me under "Mirage, Too much?"... You give insight to your perceptions. And further, I like the way your talent takes-in that 'imprint' and show US what it's like. It's good to communicate on these levels, yes? Ah, yes... (I'm still one of your biggest fan, here!) Awesome! (sorrow if this seems anemic in any way... groggy, and time for me to sleep really soon) IP: Logged |

Mirage,I checked out the link you provided- "Bird Story" So sad, stirred my sensitivities for sure. In response to your comment, which by the way I love the warm, friendly, open-easiness of your tone. I appreciate your insights into my poetry, and yes to answer your question I do love communicating on many levels. I've often thought of that saying "you won't have any poetry unless you bring some with you" to be true, and I try to bring some with me wherever I go- as it seems to naturally follow and is an integrated part of my nature. A little off topic, yet having to do with the communicative process no less. I can remember having such a difficult time letting my first collection of poetry "go." The feeling can be compared to having every unique essence, that makes you..you on parade, and your diary per-say left open. I tried to take cues from other writing friends who had published previously, and they appeared so bubbly, happy, and accomplished; and here I was with a few days of crying, feeling indifferent, and having a lot of trouble unlocking that key. Good sense prevailed in the end and I seized that notion everything happens on its due course opportunistically for a reason. Eventually I had some very rewarding experiences almost other-worldly to me. For instance at one point- some of my poems ended up at a facility for women, not free to come and go as they please. I was asked if the poems could be shared as a part of their group session, and my reply was by all means, yes of course. I didn't care why those women were there or what they did. I just thought to myself they are human beings, and even in their daunting and bleakest of hours of what life has handed them--I wanted them to remember beauty. I wanted to bring what I gather and see aesthetically out here, to them- to touch, remember, and to feel, and I succeeded. At that moment poetically I realized and understood the meaning of purpose. The genre of poetry is a bit "different" its momentum for the most part is quaint and humble- sometimes even fated where it happens to travel. I like the idea it's stumbled upon, which I can attest being an avid reader I've stumbled across many. It feels like you're privy to astounding thoughtful treasures residing in some dusty museum vault, ending up in the right hands, at precisely the right time--splendidly meant to be. IP: Logged |

Having to do with "purpose" in which I wrote about earlier.I'm going to keep this for awhile send it at a later time when you least expect it on some dreary day it will arrive hopefully bringing a smile for your pretty eyes. I don't think you happen to know how much in my world you are loved what a perfect friend you have been through it all. You have been here- for everything not just in fragments- or pieces of my life you found interesting. You've kept my secrets that is a grand gesture to praise in its entirety. You've called me out of the blue many times reminding me I'm beautiful and other strings of compliments thoughtfully teaching me not to shy away but rather, graciously say- thank you. So- to make it a little easier for you do me a favor find the library there get anything by Whitman (poet) go outside, if possible or find somewhere quiet for your mind- and read his words he wrote for people like us you'll understand what I mean verse by verse. Keep your chin up you're going to get healthy and feel better than you ever knew you could. Take it one day at a time miracles rarely happen over night and as we often discuss karma together just think- this is a chance to set things right and remember after this ahead of you lays the rest of your life. Awe! Thanks Mirage so sweet of you to say such kind words. I brought this particular poem up because a good friend heard "wedding bells" yesterday. I'm having a small gathering here tonight in my home for them and I'm happy that life in many areas for her is turning around and upwards.Yes I'm aware Whitman was a Gemini, and you know when I was a little girl my mom had an older missionary friend living with us- until she passed. We constantly took people in, anyway she supposedly was a very avid Whitman reader, and she read to me all the time, and I'm guessing among the children's books- she must have snuck poetry in there too. When older and studying Whitman on my own it already felt so familiar to me. IP: Logged |
