"Dying Beats Ease"Sugar, sugar, sugar, Granules seep from my eyes, And trail for miles; My arms sweep in a wide arc As I slowly embrace sky going by. If I open my mouth, I loathe to lose the glue coating my insides, Glazing the pinks and browns I'm so fond of. Dreaming night back from cliff's edge, Sewing no hope from window's ledge, And if this ache refuses to abate, I have no choice. Drawing in the soothing sounds of your heart within mine, Sinking slowly within the sands of time, The rhythmic pounding of plates' erosion, No eruption except for the love of nothing Bleeding from a deadened oasis of song.
