Medea
Ah, Medea jealous wife of Jason the famed,
Were you a vixen so cruel and cold?
Or were you by time and fate framed?
For, for him, you found glories untold,
The golden fleece, it was your taking,
But you let him have it so gladly,
Ah this was your choice so mistaking,
Because you loved him so badly,
And looks did fade upon that once saintly face,
And oh, too was it your Jason to do,
What men will, betray a woman's grace,
Oh, you could have, could have bid him adieu,
But no Medea, no, revenge was thine owns,
And you would ensure he knew it,
The wrath that no man had ever known,
You ruined his life through cunning wit,
To kill his lover, Glauce so true,
With a poisonous golden coronet,
Oh, how her death she never knew,
And her life like the sun and his soul did set,
And while you Medea flew away into the sky,
Jason sat upon the shores and there he would die,
