I dreamt and wept
waiting for you
as the clock struck two.

To appear out of nowhere
catapulting us from this world-
of distaste.

Taking us
where the sun is eclipsed
where mystics and planters-
of thought reside
working together
side by side
pinching myself-
to check
am I still alive?

Climbing up a trellis
far reaching into the heavens
-you plucking
a purple rose
to lighten up my face
in your realm
gentlemen do exist
how I have forgotten this.

I'm in debt
to your charms
this strange-
inner and outer courtship
vanquished of time
makes life passable
as I wake each morn.

Excited to put on paper
the stories-
of our intimate,
nomadic journeys
letting everyone
feel a subtle twinge of envy.

I don't wonder anymore
I know
my twin,
he has
the most beautiful soul.

From my journal..

A wide brimmed straw hat
my blue eyes rising
toward the sun and sky
perfectly blended

Clouds even the stormy variety
mixed in here and there

As I religiously dig in the earth
scattering tiny appreciative seed
of beautiful flowers
that will be

I think of you.

This was such tender poem I wrote years ago. Very simple.. The story behind it, I was working in my garden..all of sudden the air changed and everything became intensely heightened..the sun felt warmer hovering over my shoulders..there was such sense of clarity- So I stopped, then felt a breeze, suddenly he was all around me. So I looked up and thought- okay he's admiring me, I'm positive I blushed. I decided without pause, for capturing my attention in such a magnificent way- he gets a poem. A woman born with poetics inside her couldn't ask for a better muse..he makes poetry easy for me to write..the sadness is the difficult part. He reminds me of what many people take for granted...

When I sit by my fireplace with a cup of tea while snow falls heavily
during the spring spying the first dandelion crowning- I anxiously await to see
when lazing around in summer beneath the sun with every inch of me calmly laxed in warmth
even the trill of fall the leaves do not compare, to me he is the Autumn, the embodiment of my favorite time of year
While in those beautiful moments and many others as well- I think about him.
You see- I can't think about him without the thoughts becoming a poem.
He brings that out in me. Love.
Once touched always touched- by song.
