"Golden Windows"

It was because in this grief
Unfurling wings unfolded,
Beholden unto gilded arches
Where the magic never quite dried.
Hold me Mother,
Hold me Father,
Can't seem to use my legs.
Trembling with each new step,
Like a newly mewling birthed calf;
My new life circles around corners,
Meeting me halfway into the
Beckoning reckoning, the bliss
Of two eternal lovers greeting
Forever and always.
This is where the heart began:
Between intertwined fingers and wrists
Bound by caution and predilection,
Broken down with exact precision,
With those words you knew so well.
The glare from golden windows doesn't
Seem worth the heavy price paid.
Imbued with the warmth of embrace
Encased in memories' wrath eternal,
The body tries to forget soul years
In the reflection of glassy mirrored tears.

You certainly have talent there with the thought crossing over into words. I read this over a couple times, and each depiction was more and more emotively beautiful, raw, real- then the last. thanks for sharing..

Thank you guys for the comments .

If you had to say what this is about, what is it?

My brain is confused lately. It seems I want to throw up words to try and match how I feel, but Idk how I feel.

Your question.."If you had to say what this is about, what is it?"

I feel a past sense of vulnerability. Also the dynamic of working through and coming to grips with that is inter-woven and deeply layered within the poem.

Thanks Pearlty .

I feel like for the past two years or so, I've been doing some mental house cleaning. Now that I've opened boxes of compartmentalized issues, I'm finally throwing things away or consolidating what needs to be reabsorbed and dealt with.

As the Almond Joy saying goes, sometimes I feel like a nut and sometimes I don't .

MA I can relate to frequently decluttering the mind whether from past or present tense events which seemingly goad their way in and wear out their welcome. I'm constantly doing internal weeding-pruning so to speak- it's such a necessary process for your well being.

I loved it! It had almost a Sylvia Plath style to it.
