Do you happen to know
just how enlightening that is?

It didn't culminate over night
something pure never does
It's slow
methodical
and wrought with many hurdles

I can distinguish intent
whether it's good or bad

I have opened that passageway
I am aware

I can sit
take a small portion of my day
and write
placing myself in the
idyllic moment

I feel empowered
by my surroundings
love, nature, family
which come to gather
I consider it a wonderful gift

It took so long
to utter that first voiceless word

I'm thankful each day
for not planned-
kind and encouraging acts
which sometimes take
me by complete surprise

Just think a double Gemini
is learning how to be quiet

I must say
the sound is
audibly sweet.

... the rocks quietly cried around you, while you were wetting them from your own tears and heart's rain

Not everyone can see the gem inside the deep untouched settings in a rock
