For you to see..

Sometimes you find a profound place
to rest upon for awhile
reflect, assess your faltering situations
and find a tunnel through

Within beautiful words
magically strewn together
revealing light-
dark variant shades
and hues

Weaving inward and outward
of a predestined life
which I know is right and true

It is that time of year again
gather what you have left
and leave the unwelcoming cold

After a harsh winter of going within
welcome spring,
then summer,
the season I call my own

With a child-like sense still intact
seeing everything in the world-
as striking and bold

I've learned perception is never a matter
of right or wrong
but rather a gray area
for understanding and knowing
where you belong

Exploring is never easy

On the salty earth things seem wilted and dry
set in statuary stone

The rapids always churning and filling you fast
until tears spring from your eyes

Gazing into the firelight one becomes
mesmerized by its untouchable beauty
and the glow it beholds

Sitting on wings
you begin to crave things
one can't have as you peer below

Everything serves a purpose
analyzing motives
within everything crossing your path
is time wasting

I have learned how to love deeply
I don't use, then hastily discard
anything pleasing
worthy of keeping
