Stars glitter the night sky. Out full is a blue moon. Chirps from a crickets cry. A forest filled with its tune.Up high in a tree of pine. Hoots from an owl so wise. Lights in the eastern skyline. Our suns glorious rise. The dawn of a new day. Life starts to come awake. A squirrel comes out to play. Branches twirl in his wake. Standing in a sea of trees. He waits for what he needs. Dreams! his heart they tease. His demise they just feed. Tears flow down his face. Last nights dark emptiness. No End! Not a trace. Another day of loneliness. Moving on he must seek. He searches for that which is lost. Years, months, a million weeks. He strives on, caring no cost. He just walks on endlessly. Atop a mountains highest peak. Over arid deserts aimlessly. Across a rivers darkest deep. Buried deep inside his heart. Lies a love so rare to find. Though I'm missing a large part. Her Heart! For which two bind. I'll continue along my path. I've walked it OH so long. I'll search till I find death. Till i find that which I long. ------------------ Sun in Gemini - Moon in Pisces - Ascendant Scorpio IP: Logged |

I'm in the burbs outside of Cleveland. We launched from Brewster at a camp site community- there were streets of cabins, but it was cold (fall time) and the place was pretty empty. It had a big field though perfect for take off I suppose. No public restroom open at that time, and I remember being so nervous about going up in the sky, I recall finding a bush to hide behind! - funny the things that are recollected! That's the only time I've been to that area of Ohio. IP: Logged |

I was born and raised here. I love it here so much, I couldn't ever get myself to move away. It's a cozy little town and in a beautiful setting. I've never been in a balloon but I'd love too. I bet it was a blast. IP: Logged |

In response- yes it was a blast! Very relaxing and magical once you're up there floating.I feel the same way as you about the town I grew up in, although I did eventually move away and plant my feet in different soil. So many fond memories took place there. I played in the woods from morning until dusk as a girl. Studying the bark off trees, following animal tracks and prints, catching salamanders and crawfish out of the crick, lying and looking up at the sky on moss covered rocks -which felt like plush carpet to me, snapping touch-me-nots (jewel weed), stumbling across a praying mantis or a walking stick and just marveling. Country life was wonder filled for perspective and the imagination. IP: Logged |

I had an absolutely fantastic childhood, in the aspect of where I grew up. I loved being a country boy. Actually, that's what feeds my imagination, I know the wilderness so well that I just know what it should look like.

I can literally close my eyes and be there, as if I were walking through it. It's quite amazing. IP: Logged |

That's a gift and beautiful, hope you cherish that always. "Nature never spares the opium or nepenthe, but whenever she mars her creatures with some deformity or defect, lays her poppies plentifully on the bruise, and the sufferer goes joyfully through life, ignorant of the ruin, and incapable of seeing it, though all the world point their finger at it every day." ~Emerson
