Something, something in my hidden hand
Is it a butterfly, a bug or a gem?
You couldn't tell by looking into my eyes,
So how can you really distinguish between
Love and infatuation?

Thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed this.

Are they not two sides of the same coin?

Thank you. No, not as a rule, in my opinion.

I like this poem a lot Ayelet.

With the inquiry at the end of the poem. I feel infatuation is more about outer idolizations and or outside influences-as well much depends on one's own attachment style and what they my find as a beginning formulative sublet intriguing or fascinating about another.

Love on the other hand often transitions towards exploring inner-depth your own and theirs. Chemistry and an ongoing turning of similar yet individual pages. I tend to trust and put emphasis on the latter (love) when it comes to the long haul and what can eventually provide foundational "glue" and a knowing. ~>

Ayelet! Time. Trust. Curiosity perhaps? .... {pivot} You've got to 'want to know' the thing which you hold in your Own Hand. Which one did you 'Purpose' to want to give? Can be hard to decide until settling inside which one of those states of metamorphosis does it belong to?

What-you-hold is solely in your own hand~~ it's your level of trust, and Trust. Fear and excitement wrestling within. Why not open your inner-eyes, so that someone who is clearly-there standing right in front of you can take a peek and 'look in' to see past the veil of the dark you think you hide? Some creatures have veiled eyes in order to protect themselves; to protect old critical wounds from traumas they've not quite recovered from. Or even to protect the eye Itself, while it moves through the filth in its habitats.

Butterfly... in the heart and stomach is the bug of anxiety, perhaps from a time of having had its wings slowly cruelly pulled apart and purposefully shattered? This is mundane knowledge. But in higher-reality, that butterfly can possibly be a gift of a new promise, and evolution.

There are many counterfeits. Sometimes it's best to let the river flow.... and pray for very watchful group of loyal & faithful Friends to help be your living Guides. Tie you to a chair and pummel you with Carrots if you're about to make that 'real' mistake, again!!

Immortal... if you hold whatever it is, and decide... if it Be Eternally-truly yours, it will Stay-- and even old and in Death, may return in the Phase of Memories... (wide-adaptation of an old adage)

Love is a Radiant Blessed radio-active Gift! A Beautiful contamination. Love is a Gem of many many facets, clarity and brightnesses: too many to discern all in just one standing lifetime... but Oh, for the joy of trying! Infatuation is recycling recognition and Rapture.

Behold a fascinating pleasure and curious Promise... the sole and Soul Delight. Always a clue forever, to be re-wrapped again and again, to bring another wave for whatever is Next to Be!

*happy-foot*.... well?! waiting ~~*

Lifetime after life time...

Thank you so much, Pearlty, Mirage and Randall!
I don't know how to quote in a post more than one post, so i'll simply relate.
I share your view, Pearlty, adding that the duality of the inner and outer realms may seem tricky sometimes. I believe in an inner, hidden essence, like that which is in the hidden hand, out of view. It is sometimes hard to penetrate, but the more one is true to oneself, the more that can be achieved. And yes, true love is connected with that essence, and since love is magic, one has to become a magician to see through into it. And love also teaches us that magic. We need it if we want a solid ground in our quest and journey.

Mirage, thank you again You ask what it is that i want to give, and that is a good question. I can give only one thing, and only one thing can be accepted. But that thing is veiled. The form of that thing, or its known identity, is a symbol, and as such, it symbolizes that which i have no word to describe. It is the present only i can give. The question is: Does the receiver can receive it? Can he see through illusion? Or does he or she get stuck at the thick skin?

You might be right that the more one sees oneself truly, the more one can attract the person who will see one as he or she truly are.

It is interesting. what you wrote about the butterfly. It may be wrestling inside, causing anxiety and awaits its freedom. It may also invite the flower to which it longs. It is certainly a gift, but so are the bug or the gem, for different reasons. But it is certainly a symbol of evolution, as it becomes what it becomes.

Your advice concerning friends and carrots is definitely accepted, Though i think i would spank myself the best for making a mistake!

Thank you for the song... and for the inspiration of your words .

Can anyone tell me how to put more than one quote in a post?! I already asked that in another forum in which i wrote, and no one out of the two persons writing to me knew how...

If by more than one quote you mean, I would like to quote Randall's response, Mirage's response and Pearlty's response. There is not an inbuilt function to do this.

The way to do it, is to click the quote on each person, and cut and paste it all into one response. If you use a PC and a Mouse, generally the middle mouse button, (the mouse wheel) can be clicked, and on most PCs this defaults to, open in new tab, otherwise right click and select open in new tab, then cut and paste.

Alternatively, you can do it the long way by typing things like [ QUOTE ][ B ] Posted by: Pearlty - ... [ / Quote ] [ /B ] And type it all out again, probably not useful though.

Thanks Swift Freeze. I saw many other lindalanders quote in this way and didn't know how.

It's a lot of work but after you've done it a while, it becomes more automatic.

Something else....

When you open the window to post a reply, you can SCROLL way way down to the bottom of the screen, go DOWN BELOW the bright blue letters that say, "If you have previously registered, but forgotten your password, click here." The topic and thread is what appears there below the reply box. [split-window, that you can scroll]

The thread can be scrolled until you find a quote. Highlight, copy text below, then with mouse MOVE UP to this "reply box or window" and paste it in.

+++++++++++++++
UPPER LEFT SIDE OF PAGE, you see Q&A
click on Q&A
read text
Bright Blue words are hyperlinked if you click.

in Q&A, underneath 'smilies', see bold paragraph heading Using HTML and/or UBB Code. Find the purple words "listed here" and click.... and you'll find this:

Quoting Other Messages

example

[QUOTE]Ask not what your country can do for you....
ask what you can do for your country.[/ QUOTE]

-----------------------
p.s. no space between the slash and word. /word. And don't forget the brackets.
