If one knew one's worth,
If one worked with eyes open,
If the salty waters knew one's sorrow
there would be no need for prayers no more.

Since I do not know all that,
I allow myself to write,
As if a word mattered in the world.

It is just another prayer
on an empty page.

Love the stages and layers in this... Words seen, noted, and pondered for more than an hour! Puzzle in your words turn my head around. I've enjoyed that.

Invisible prayer, wondering-page Space-holding.

Very deep and beautiful. When I read the end, I reflected on the idea that what if the bible or any other religious scripture is a prayer for what a deity wishes for and that's why we have free will?

Your poems are always very insightful, I really enjoy them Ayelet.

This poem kind of reminds me- instead of wearing an anchor on one's sleeve let the heart be there in deep meaning and thought naturally flowing...which this tender reflection shows.

Even though these are very few words,
I felt the essence of each of them individually.
Words straight from heart..
