Burning

My sun has burnt me
but I still crave its warmth
Somewhere someone
notices me
so casual
then smiles
There I thrive, on
little things
A gentle tone of voice
A hand wave
Look into my eyes
and see yourself
in a straight and honest mirror
No lies are possible
Where there is a heart
You cannot fool me
Nor can I hide from you
my genuine sentiment
But why was the sun
too warm to touch?
Am I hallucinating again,
or this heart has failed?
I need to hear music
So I can be relieved from
Shadow of a Doubt
I live in the Desert, deserted,
I remember,
I have decided to cross it all by myself,
But the water in the well have not sufficed
To hold me now. A grown woman
Still dreaming of her cradle
I wasn't meant to live here, just to pass by
Will this body turn to sand before I get loose?
No, this way I shall remain captive
Of flames unsoothed by wind
of your desire
You are somewhere in the city, lost to every woman
I am lying in the sand. The sun is my lover
Never had I a lover so ardent
Never have I surrendered so entirely
To the elements.
Am I a beast then? I forgot to say hello
When I saw a mirage
I did not believe my eyes.
I had gone so far
And this one was much too far
For me
When I find your bones, I shall grab one
And make myself a flute
So I would not forget

Ayelet ! I was thinking about you last night.... We must have a soul-connection.

Different writers here affect me in different wonderful ways... Your writings stir me sooo deeply Ayelet. AND, it seems perhaps we move through similar astro transits in life, because your topics parallel what's going on with me VERY directly in my life.

Look into my eyes
and see yourself
in a straight and honest mirror
No lies are possible
Where there is a heart...

How I wish that for ME too, Ayelet.

When I saw a mirage
I did not believe my eyes.
I had gone so far
And this one was much to far
For me
When I find your bones, I shall grab one
And make myself a flute
So I would not forget

I understand the feeling of wanting to withdraw yourself from any chances of love, again. Go live in a Desert, and just be by yourself. That way you can't get hurt ever again, especially when you're a deep and tender person. That sounds like a good thing right now to me too. Love hurts.... too much.

What does a 'mirage' mean to you, Ayelet?

Not sure but, in Buddhism/EasternReligions, doesn't this have to do with the drawing of oneself towards the more-carnal desires, than keeping with it's supreme opposite in the spirit which is aloofness? This 'mirage' is something that a guru-like person would want to reject and forcibly cast away from his life when they are on the path to seeking enlightenment?

Is it more-Noble to burn, and not have your desire met? Know that your anguish is shared.

Ayelet.... You mention the Flute? I recall one of the most haunting sweet-painful melodies I've ever heard.... I think it was a song created by a swami Kriyananda. I still remember it. It pierces my Heart, and has followed me through times in my life. For me, the flute had to do with pursuing the call of God, and the yearning in the soul to be united.

I love the way asteroids can be used to play word-associations with them, as a game. So weird how they can come together in synchronous ways we can chose, to remind about the different storylines woven in our lives.

I've been on a Christmas tangent recently (by intuition). On the 'Christmas week' degrees, I found asteroid 8770 Totanis (mine at Capricorn 2.35rx, and it hovers over h13 Osc/apogee BML at the entrance of my Scorpio 12 House today).

I looked up what a Totanis is. It's a type of Sandpiper bird. I thought of the song The Sandpiper.....

Incorporating words from your Beautiful Poem, I share this bitter-sweet song with you. It's masculine, then feminine...

Thank you very much, LF DX and Pearlty!

Thank you too, Mirage ... thank you for all that you shared. The song was beautiful. Perhaps we do have soul connection. What you post is significant to me.
Perhaps the Mirage is something I cannot reach, and so it never turns into reality... but your interpretation is valid too.
You know, I don't play the flute, but I once wrote music to the flute and it got lost. That's too bad 'cause I think it was o.k. or quite good. And because it was "mine". If you ever find that music which affected you so much, I'd like you to post it for me, will you?
I wish you to be loved, always...

Love what you wrote, Ayelet. {{ }}

I will definitely keep searching for that song, especially the melody. Will favorite this poem so I'll know where to find you.

Mirages aren't non-attainable reaches. In reality the item does exist, but just not quite how you would expect it to present itself.

Sometimes what starts out like a dream can actually become your lucid waking experience.

Pharrell Williams adds to 33. Seems appropriate, doesn't it?
