Well, two in a row, feels good to be on the groove once again.

Well I have met a woman, with such a pearled smile
She was a hefty lady, she travelled many miles
From Alaska to Ushuaia, wherever she could dance
Carrying memories from the Indians and their plains
I looked at her and my heart was pounding
Love grew so fast like the beats of this song

Those dark eyes and the mole around her lips
And her tattoos of stars I long to kiss
In an erotic trance of a midnight blues
Rolling in the meadows with the autumn dew
I feel my nervousness as she’s a-coming
She knows I want her sweet loving

I’ll give her all that heaven will allow
And all that my heart can give
Maybe it won’t come tomorrow
But I’ll come as flows this love

Well my words can’t be spoken when I’m close
I’ve been poisoned badly by a deathly dose
A man’s fears could leave you stranded
As you feel inside that you can be denied
It’s the curse of a heart that it’s pounding
Love grew too fast like the beats of this song

“Don’t fear in vain” said the lovely woman
I’ll take you soon in the land of the sun
Where Indians sing to the gods in the stars
And dance till the clouds drops their earthly tears
And I felt her finally her sweet loving
As I felt her heart was softly pounding

Cheers

I'd give it a "10" (as they used to say on American Bandstand, long ago)-- because I could imagine dancing to this. So glad you've got your groove back!

Thumbsup, DX...

A poem that tells itself, unfolds, like a story. It surely has a groove
