I can't tell how I ended up writing this, it just came, it's about a reality of what happens in my country, in a very sarcastic way, but I feel it's good enough to share it, and it's also the longest lyric I wroteI woke up in the morning with a hooker by my side And some pills of oxy-contin. And a needle round my arm You can’t tell this kind of living ain’t no good to anyone But when you’re as damned as I am, you do what I do I’m just a man of vices, making sin after sin I’ll tell you bout my story on how I get this far I used to be a good man, working from 9 to 5 I was an engineer, or aspired to be like that I even got the senator calling out my name Saying that I was the future from this rotten land Deep inside my mind I thought to kill that fat And tell him I ain’t the future for no one you **** Well I’ve got a meeting with that filthy senator He told me he was paying me and make me his right hand He said “son you must enjoy the wonders of life” Grab yourself some bourbon and this pack of cocaine I’ll make you a business man like the kinds of the north And soon we’ll be partying in the beaches of Ecuador Then I start to live the politician’s life Shouting to the people to who you have to vote And sending food and water to the poor in the shore Telling them vote to this man he’ll keep you always safe Well you know deep inside I was lying very bad I started to get crazy and I needed a daily drink And a dose of headache pills cause my life was about to sink Well I tried to quit a few times but the money always came I couldn’t resist temptation, nor the gluttony and the lust The senator kept me like a puppet and I did nothing but obey Through every favor made, got some alcohol and ****** Models of the city they wanted me in their bed Well ladies of the midnight I just want to be dead I was watching the magazine here at lido’s bar It was talking bout the pope that’s coming in our town I wish to salute him and kiss his elder hands I’d confess every sin I have to reach the heaven’s door And say to him hello frank you do you feel Watching this lovely country getting ruined by a guy like me I started then to gamble in the Sheraton hotel With every other mogul playing poker and blackjack With a cocktail in my hand and a lady next to me I was being compulsive after a winning streak Then I bet quite a number with an Arabian from the east To lose in the river, well the joy it couldn’t last Well the rotten senator asked me for a thing To take out a secret stash to the city of Pedro Juan It was reefer and some money to the mayor of the town I went soon cause I was getting sick Of being a tool for him and thought to spat that prick Well I took some ecstasy and went out on the road I was going like a madman in the highway number three Begin to get crazy then I crashed on a tree The police woke me up and bust me straight ahead I forgot I was drunk and very high on pills They found the money and the reefer in the car They asked who send you; I said the senator Well I headlined on the media, and the ********* began I made quit the senator and I was fired from my job And the debt from the gambling were piling up to me I lost all my charm, and the women and my friends I believed it was worth it, the debauchery Now I’m just broken without pennies and no soul I look out the window of my home at the tenth floor That tomorrow they’ll kick me out cause I’m very out of cash I did every bad thing a man had to do Burning out some bridges and acting like a fool I’ll go now to the bar to drink till I puke I don’t care what happens cause my vices are what remains Cheers IP: Logged |

I hope very much that you are only 'channeling' this, DX, and that it is not what your personal living~experience. {{NOTE: I have a great big sense of humor, so please read this with understanding that. Yes, these are problems here, yes, I'm praying really really hard for relocation... hoping something-out-there is in the works for me}} I live around atmospheres here of folks who LIVE that in their undergrounds. This is a drug infested area. For decades, the side street where I am is known as "heroine alley"... We have had to chase away strange~cars from our very front door in the past week who had parked in order to 'do' their drugs. Gangs drugs warlords corrupted-police/govt is a reality here too. I heard a small group bragging the other day about *them* having their foot in the door of some local law enforcement jobs here... That is not happy news for the mental-state of this-here camper to hear, nooooo noooope! I'm just-a waitin' on a GOOD relocation from this-here place. Over the span of the 8~9yrs that I've been here in this foreign-culture community, the powers-that-be keep rocking back and forth (in small inclusive-area of several 'hoods) between the good and evil-folk being in charge. I was more politically proactive working here for Peace in our places several+ years ago, but it's been out of my hands for me as I am the one who is 'the foreigner' now. Area is dominated-- And I DEFINITELY don't belong here (as a single older lady). It's time to move!! I want OUT. *Laughing nervously~~~ still got my sense of humor in-tact, yes* About a month ago I took a break from the computer here and took a casual peep out my window slats.... Well OMG, I was in the right timing to watch a car come sailing wide and fast around our corner lot building, and see a passenger in open window with his finger-gun pointing and firing into my building. Then, in the news there came news stories about drive-by shootings on completely random individuals/families, and the spraying of bullets into apartment buildings and homes. *Thank you Big Guardian Angels for Protecting me!! tytytytytyty* So, DX.... I have an actual "feel" for what you're saying.... because I am "indirectly" living it. Strange place to straddle when you know what's around you, and you have to act like you're not seeing it, because then 'that' protects you. You SEE it, and you MUST PRETEND 'not' to see it... So this is close to home for me. All we can do sometimes is pray. I hope you stay safe, DX! ~~ Be very careful in your associations with people, especially right now. Especially over these next weeks... But~!, placing "reality" aside? ... Your descriptions are really awesome. IP: Logged |

My real life is very far from what I'm writing now, hahahaha, it's nowhere that messed up. This is just a moment that I'm writing less personal things, partly because the things happening in my country are inspiring me more to write, and the personal stuff doesn't make up for me now, even if I'm in quite a good moment. Here we got a president who's a businessman mogul, owner of media, banks and drinks. Who's also an underground druglord, and since that **** got the power this country went down pretty fast, inflation, crime and poverty going up, lots of debts growing up for nothing, selling land to big corporations. And what I tried to express was the life of the average politician around here, and it turned into a downhill of a young man who got burned by the power of corruption, or that's what I'm thinking it is xD. For what you express Mirage, you must be from the south, right? I know a bit that in USA things are quite bad with the police and stuff right? IP: Logged |

Good!! And yes I'm in the southeast (at this time). They really-truly are working hard on training and relations here. I want to give credit where credit is due. Even if things sound bad in certain spots, it may be on its way to an overall improvement since a couple years ago. Slow and sure... At least, when I look through those rose-colored glasses! haha (Gosh? I just read what I wrote, and, am I being too positive there? ... oh ~yuk. LOL! I guess I want it to come true bad enough, eh?) I keep my thoughts and vibes positive, because basically I believe it helps. If you expect them to improve, then it creates the space for them to do that. When you stare at a person with a smile on your face, but you think negatively about them, like they're no-good, a failure, etc, I think others respond to that. (At least, I do. It's that cobweb~creepy kind of sense.) Anyways! I'm so glad you're doing better! ... ah Love! Opens that door to pain and inspirations. IP: Logged |
