Entranced by the sweet fruits of Truth
I've held the Universe in my hand
I know all the Names of forever
And how it makes futile the planned

If I shared with you this nectar
Would it taste bitter upon your sweet tongue?
Do you prefer men's slaving Word
To the wildflowers I walk among?

And your soul speaks to mine of dark nights
Though the Moon has shined always above you
Pray, where would you or Jesus be
If your Fathers had chose not to love you?

So long I've seen no silver lining
In the clouds that obscure the light
And the blind weigh me only by karat
And tip my scale out of spite

And you blaze like the beauty of fire
Make room in your chariot to heaven
Where a jealous god awaits my ascent
To remind me that I'm not forgiven

Lips may service the path that is straight
But my tightrope is drawn by a laser
At its center, my happy thought leaves, and
With these broken legs I cannot chase her

This to me seemed mystical even archaic infact. Romantic yet veiled somewhat. Very nice work. What was your backdrop, mindset, inspiration, or intuitive glances you wrote from?

It's pretty typical, Pearlty. Fell in love with a woman, and she with me, but over the course of two months she decided she couldn't love me after all. She wouldn't choose what she knew to be true over her emotional need for a false belief, and she wouldn't accept that some truths are universal and not dependent on what we want to believe. And she knew I need better than that. So she left me.

Thanks for your explanation, I'm sure there is more to the story- which of course is none of my business.

The inner heart-spirit is soley up to us to heal
when broken. It's a choice and absolutely achievable.
