Forgotten melodies haunt me tonight
I am looking inside for a remedy,
put on my skirt and watch
these legs, this dance
all over people's heads,
Nocking where they keep forgetting,
and they never seem to notice,
not even the man I love.
He should have known I am not dead,
gone away completely with this night.
Life has made my man a busy bee,
Necessity his queen,
quenching his thirst his salvation.
He still cannot see beyond the rays of day,
where I am still present,
an ethereal flower,only now begins to open,
trying too become less transparent.
After all, he falls asleep
and dance, and dance with me for keeps.
