Have you looked at the mirror?
Tell me what you see
Is there a happy man
Or someone who always fleesWhat do you protect?
When you stay out of the joints
Why you can’t react?
When there is the thrill to live
Why you don’t exist?
Why do you resist? There’s love in the road
There’s a future ahead
Yet you’re still dreaming
And acting carelessly
Why you don’t try?
To let your soul fly
The planet moves my friend
Don’t stay in the slumps
Why you don’t exist?
Why do you resist? You’re so strayed
Into your own dream world
And you have betrayed
To your friend, the child inside Why resist the failures?
When they happen all the way
Why you fear the future?
What matters is today
Why you don’t exist?
Why do you resist? Have you tried to reawake?
Or you’re so entrenched in your sleep
Time fades away my friend
Don’t stay in that ditch so deep Why you evade the chance?
To be the captain of your ship
Why stay like a slave?
And be constantly whipped
Why you don’t exist?
Why do you resist? Well it’s already Monday
The day has just begun
What will you do my friend?
Take a leap or get stomped You have a body
You have a soul
You have the power
You have the control
You have a life
You have a dream
Why you don’t exist?

The reason of this poem is how I'm living my life. Even if I'm having the best year of my life so far, I'm kinda having the mid 20 crisis, lazy, dreamer, careless... Beyond my musical career I'm not doing that much, and, with the recent experience of having an impressive one night stand, which could have gone into something more, but I withdrew from the lady in question because it overwhelmed me the instant connection that we had, and the powerful sex we had, I simply could not handle it, and the decision of not continuing that affair it's the thing that is causing a domino effect.IP: Logged |
