I'm sorry if I misunderstood, but you were gone taking care of your mother as I gather. I am happy that she is doing better now given you pampered her like a child. I hope if there is some remnant illness she might just recover it soon. Life is like that we have to be there for our loved ones and to do so it gives a blessed feeling to us.

Yes, in order to be on our own we just have to cut the umbilical cord and be on our own. I remember when I first left home to go and study in another state I cried like a child but lo, here I am living without them and still doing fine.

It's dismal that your friend is there no more but the good news is he is still alive in his work amongst you all. When I was in school my english teacher told me one very important fact about poets that is still embedded in the sheet of my mind, that poets have the relaxation to do spelling mistakes and form new words of their own, though lately I see even fiction/non-fiction writers follow this trait and it comes along as a sigh of relief to have invented something of your own.

As for your poetry it was certainly missed here, apart from your presence…It's a beautifully crafted one, relating a lot to your life right now if I'm not wrong.

Sorry for this long passage but had to write it after reading your situation…God Bless You and welcome back..

Hi thequeen,

I'm glad this posted it was giving me trouble or I am just impatient- one of the two!

Anyway thanks for your relevent thoughts. Much appreciated.

I am at my home for the time being again after going back and forth, staying down at my parent's home to help with her care. There was a couple of us so we took turns.

I liked the story about your poetry teacher. I love the non- conforming style of writing some do, the different word play and so forth. (like the family friend I mentioned above) His poems were eclectic with a positive message bestowed in each one. I haven't seen him in person for years, but he had that twinkle in his eyes I had noticed in pictures. I love people like that, you never quite know what they are up to, but the happiness of life radiates from them.

Thank you for the welcome back!
& God bless you too!

I am glad to hear your mom is ok, and hope her condition will still improve. It is certainly not good to be sick, but at least you can pay her back some of the love she showered on you all through the years. I wish you two many happy moments with each other.

Perhaps you'd like to post something of your departed friend's poetry?

Your presence and poetry were missed. Welcome back

My Pearlty...

Good to have you around again... You were missed. *Heart*

What a richly written note, and deeply touching tribute paid to your mom as you've allowed us a window into your experiences over the past months. Thanks for sharing, so real and eloquently.

I'm so glad the two of you are Connecting in this way. You are making Memories. It will bring nourishment to both your souls....

You are Beautiful Souls....
You are FULL Consecrated Sacred Satisfied Souls.
You are The Healing Women...
Doing what Strong does for each other. {{ }}

{{ condolences for sorrows concerning the loss of your family's friend, a fellow Poet}}

(music) Strong Woman Song (Lisa Muswagon and Raven Hart-Bellecourt) [2:32] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ei4CQWCP4c

from the preamble...

A STRONG WOMAN
Is one who feels deeply
And loves fiercely.
Her tears flow
Just as abundantly
As her laughter.
A strong woman
Is both soft and powerful
She is both
Practical and spiritual.
A strong woman
Is her essence
Is a gift to the world.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, so very sweet you are Ayelet! As for maybe sharing some of his poetry.
Wonderful idea, but I would feel funny asking anyone-as it is found on his personal page not a public one.

Mirage, Thank you! That excerpt so very fitting for the atmosphere of all of this. Just beautiful, enduring, and positively captures sacred femininity. *goosebumps* Ty for the too!

Hey Pearlty,

There is not much to tell about my teacher. She was a godown of information on poetry and literature ethics. Like all that she used to tell us is quite embedded in the sheets of my memory lane and I still follow the rules, little rules that I remember. There is quite a nostalgic feeling I have in regards to literature because I was quite fond of my teacher and revered whatever she taught to us. I am not in contact with her today but still remember whatever morals and ethics she gave us.

She was quite a reason that I started writing poetry at a young age and was glad she could groom us and provide us feedback apart from what the curriculum offered us.

I wanted to add something I need to work on in the poetry dept. Public speaking! Sometimes around here they like to gather local poets to speak at this or that engagement.

I am so shy! When I have been asked I turn them down. Mirage has said I should take a drama or public speaking class. I would entertain that- but I feel I would probably still say no, as this anonymity feels comfortable to me, for now that is. Anyway that is the juncture I am at, taking baby steps out of my comfort zone and enjoying attention instead of seeing it as an opposing force to reckon with- a bother a nuicance..etc. So we'll see what the future holds on this.

omg, Pearlty! ...

Just before retiring the computer for the night, I had a hunch to look up a certain asteroid in your chart having to do with overcoming shyness and public speaking?

Would you believe that you brought up the subject, just as that particular asteroid is transiting at 19+ degrees Gemini (8/19), in an approach to the degree of your Gemmy Sun at 21+ .. ? Then after you've warmed up *ahem* to the idea, you'll get a little time to consider it further as it bumps and crosses your Saturn at 23+ (to see if you are sure and support your commitment if you'll consider doing it), and then it approaches its Return at 25.37 Gemini!!!!, just before the new beginning portal at your Ascendant, where you'll have the chance to build and incorporate this as part of who you are and what you want to do next?

16157 Toastmaster
The meaning of asteroid Toastmasters seems to be public speaking, shyness, learning to overcome shyness or stage fright. http://markandrewholmes.com/toastmasters.html

Your Toastmaster in Communications 25+ Gem trines your natal Pallas Athene 27+ Libra in 5th House (making more babies LOL), and helping to give you some great ideas. Transiting Pallas Athene (supports Career training) moves backwards now at 27+ Aquarius (in your H9 of higher learning, schooling).

This is forming powerful energy of a grand trine in Air (communications) to funnel some energetic support and ease to the idea, helping your career!

Of course, you have a lot on your plate right now with your dedication to Mom's needs, wanting to be on call. Lots of hard work there, and sacrifice. But it wouldn't hurt to 'just explore' and visit the idea, collect necessary information, for use later?

Maybe even get some insider knowledge so you can prepare some things in advance of joining the club, OR, signing up for a class at your community college?

Why not Go fer it? See what it's about while the rocks are chatting and supporting you, even nudging?! What a coincidence??

Yes Mirage, I found the info. very worthwhile and absolutely explains why I was thinking about this the other day.

You know when I was younger I did some pageants and a little modeling which didn't feel inhibited for me, perhaps because you are expressing from the outer "shell" more so..

As to where poetry is internal and deeply personal for me.

But again thank you, your time is valuable and I appreciate you looking things up for me and giving your thoughtful perspectives.

Yes, so very true definitely had my strength tested over and over again this year. Tomorrow is John's funeral and I have feeling it will set in and sink in. Since Monday it has basically felt like a nightmarish dream. I have been spending plenty of time with his daughters ages 22 and 25. His oldest asked "who is going to walk me down the aisle now, when I get married?" Breaks my heart. My parents came into town yesterday, and it felt relieving to finally give them a hug & cry. Thank you again for thinking of us. I look forward to a nice phone convo. with you soon beside my camp fire with a hot cup of tea.

Why must life have and be filled with sooo much pain !!

I know you are a Strength there... but please DO take GOOD self-care of you, too.

*chirping* .... *crackles* .... Silent Ascents.

May your Family gather tomorrow, and find some Sense and Hope about the things that Happen in your Lives.

I closed a post with the following today, in a different forum.

I leave it also..... for you.

(music) Bridge over Troubled Water (Simon & Garfunkel, lyrics) [4:55] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjNgn4r6SOA

Sending a Rainbow Bridge to Remember Hope with each Storm in your Life...

Till sometime in the future when we will have the privilege of contact again... Be Blessed.

Shine Brightly! ... *heart*

You ARE that Angel with the Cup o Tea, in times of Adversity.

*Many Blessings to you*

Hi Pearlty {{ }} ... I know that your brother's final viewing is going on right now, then Funeral and Burial tonight...

I've lit a Candle here at home. I hope that when you see a lit candle there, and you think about it, it might be a reminder that I (and others here) "hold space" for you...

I give out my deepest condolences to you and your family. For some reason, I wasn't so actively involved with the forum for some time, but to come back and see the heartbreaking news fills my heart with grief.

I hope you regain the spirit soon ( I know you must be fighting ), and get back with the goodness life has to offer to you.

May he RIP...
