You are what’s good in this world
The birth of a better future
With a novel based on real stories
On what’s bad and can be told
Like you and your turnarounds
From Sonora to Ushuaia

Your words may be like diamonds
So white and pristine
Making wonders out of misfits
Making lovers out of loners
But you are made of turnarounds
And I can’t quite follow you

You play the act of a happy couple
With a man who’s a fallen star
That shines for nothing
But the marvels of material things
And I’ve seen these turnarounds
That make your love like a game

You fuzz and fret and spill disdain
That he’s nothing but a scam
Then you come in his arms
And make him the loveliest man
Yes those are the turnarounds
That bring disasters to me

Love’s not a novel you create
Nor make and break so often
It’s a shelter, not a doghouse
Full of lies and misery
So if you love with turnarounds
Then go and marry with the fool

And I’m the martyr of these games
Cause I played them so well
Not because I wanted them
I just didn’t have a choice
Yes you did me too many turnarounds
Loving you was such a trap

....

Ugh. I'm feeling this one today, LFDX.

Poets, Writers, Musicians....

Healers! They find and express just-the-right words that describe the very Human conditions of taking a chance, and loving and living, in an imperfect world.

Interesting. This poem is a turnaround unto itself! By the way, what are Sonora and Ushuaia?

Sonora is I think a city in the US, and Usuahia is the farthest city in the south, pretty close to Antartica, it's a way to say that the person can go from one extreme to another.

A scope of sadness surrounds this, and your perspective into the situation is intimately woven within-what is felt underneath from the depths.
