Beware of the alienation
Be afraid of the isolation
The experience of loneliness grows
So apart in a connected world
We are

You almost live for the screen
You show a life that’s only a dream
And you forgot the earth is burning
Take a picture and smile
While it’s all burning

Can’t you sense the danger?
No sense to hide the anger
I am like you, sedated
Tired and constantly jaded
Waiting to get some sleep

Waiting for the next day
To do the same old thing
Waiting for a rinse and repeat
Of waking up while being blind
Waiting for a miracle
In the land of continual sin
Trying to contain the hunger
The need of know the truth

Of being tied, to the masters of madness…

The memory fades with a button
The lie’s now a law well written
Yet we cannot try to see
It’s all well shown in the papers
“Being a slave is being free”

Wake me up when I see the light
The sun is up but the darkness is real
The darkness is real
Beware…

It seems like "seeing the light" is synonimous in your poem to seeing the darkness... and I am under the impression that under such a definition, you're already awake... Unless there is another light, but you don't make such a suggestion in your poem, which deals more, as I grasp it, with social awareness to the ignorance and injustice in our world.

Depicts a very honest "look" around one's environment.

I know you like to write about social justice...

AND! ... sometimes I think you blend it in with your reveries on women you've loved, or had fantasies about.

Looking at this through another perspective, I could also see this as your processing the wish you had to be married with this person (the one who was a social activist)... who was already in a committed relationship of sorts. She gave you a push-pull of attraction yet still... she was kinda taken.

You go back through your memories, thinking of the level you were at physically, and she just couldn't FULLY plumb the Depths of 'how important' and how much Promise and Possibility you wanted to have with her. You're feelings were soooo deep.

Being a slave is being free ..... ref to marriage?

Just guessing here....
You're a passionate dude, for sure!

Your images are very colorful, as always.

One thing... Marriage is not on my list of things to do in the near future, I'm 25, and with lot of stupid things and songs to do xD.

But it's true what you've said, the emotions i had they blend into my social writings, specially with this woman, it was a way to reach her... but now I'm just with lots of things to do now to care about that.

And the last words I don't even know what i was thinking, but it wasn't about love, it was more of being tied to the system will make you "free" to their standards.
