A lonely and lost soul, searching for love
It’s wings just blissful, soaring like a dove.
Searching and searching, looking for something
Its absence is my depressant, never ending.

I had no thought, I was simply brought there
But now I’ve grown, little do I hold dear.
Now I’ve found someone, reasons I like in a list
But no one would see, they think they can’t exist

From the start I had no one, I was alone
Sometimes it feels like past-life crimes to atone.
Then I found you, perfect like a beach sunset
It hurts me to say that we’ve never met.

I know you’re there, I know what you mean to me
Show yourself now, you’re someone I wish to see.

That is really really good!

I had read it the other day but hadn't 'spent time' with it. You've presented it as a poem... and I also know that you write music.

When I thought of these words as 'lyrics', a sense of nostalgia swept over me, as it reminded me of some of the old (would be ancient to you! LOL) operatically-performed Romantic Love songs (like from earlier 1900s), full of passion, sung by a vocal artist like Mario Lanza.

You've condensed A LOT of meaning into each line of your poem(lyrics).

I'm going to gush again, and just say excellent! We'd love to see more of your writings here!

I'm imagining your words sung in a style like Mario Lanza! LOL

It was one of my favorite poems from Creative Writing. We had to write a bunch of poems of different genres and I felt this one came out the best.

I will post more poems of interest in the future.
