Well here I am, spreading myself thin again
I'll sin again
Cut the wires, rearrange them like a synonym
My heart beats fast, my footsteps quicker
will I ever learn that the sick only get sicker
because medicine is temporary
splattered on the porcelain rim
the only thing constant
is the way the light steadily dims
And i'll run so ******* far
circling terminals, exhaling fear
leave my heart behind and do away with all these years
but nothing really matters, not these words, i know it's true
No matter where I run

Hi LeonisStar, I like your poem, it has a groove to it, there is a bitter taste that is softened and altered in the end. The constant is first introduced as negative in essence, then as your ideal and your love or soulmate (or soul-friend). Thanks for posting IP: Logged |

Hi Mirage! I'm shocked and honored that you remember me. I am doing well, & safe, thank you for asking  I tend to only write when i'm upset or overcome with emotion whether that be good or bad, and I was in a long term relationship that became very monotonous and i didn't have many emotions to express at the time. Got out of that in january and met someone new, fell for them very unexpectedly hence the "spreading myself thin again". Sorry for the rambling, i appreciate you!! IP: Logged |
