My heart is bursting at the seams
they fray, unravel, sometimes bleed
it's love that makes me feel these things
it's love that touches every thing
all of the nooks, crevices, and hidden parts of me
all of the cracks beneath the walls i've dreamed
my heart liquifies, slips underneath
exposed to the world that set it free

but little solace comes to those who think a cage can tame a lion
and no matter where love takes me, you'll never see my spirit dying
because darkness is just a canvas for the light shining in the distance
i'll plant flowers in the dirt, and fight against my own resistance.
