I was reading few poetries and felt inspired to create one. This is till where my inspiration lasted so I wove a piece out of it. I don't know how much sense it makes, but it was after long I could write from my heart with the imagery flowing.

As I tip-toed in the house,
I saw the silver vase placed on the shelf,
It shone as the reflection of my soul,
Delving, maybe a little too deep into my secrets,
And then it shivered and fell on floor,
Fatally turning itself into flairs of ash,
Without burning but subliming into gold,
I looked at it and it blatantly sparkled,
As if I wasn't its owner that it ought to fear from,
Or that it was mocking at me releasing itself from the shudder that killed it,
I took off my sandals and looked at the shelf which was now empty,
I thought to myself, "Is it a good place to showcase my heart,
Or perhaps, let me adorn it with books,"
But what if they also burned themselves peeping into my soul,
Seizing their right, righteously from me,
And my right to enter my own home in fear,
That what if they revealed to you,
As your faithful slaves burning themselves into ashes,
To proclaim to you that yes it was midnight,
And I have been leaving home every night,
In the arms of my new lover,
The new lover, which is not you.

Beautiful, thequeen. It feels to me like you ponder how much you can trust in love, examining the present in the face of what has passed. It's great to see you writing.(I might take inspiration from you)

Thequeen! ..

I see your poem as a birds-eye view of the Spiritual life of an individual. A spirit who has a soul, and lives with a personality, in their body. Sublimating, subduing, subjecting the flesh(small ego) to the Power of the Immortal. Our Strong Tower.

Our intellects can 'try'.. but until we open up and give our Heart, our self-efforts are in vain and all our works done by our own arm, our own hand.. simply turns to ash.

We find True Value, The Worth of our Soul, when we become espoused to the Beloved FIRST beyond all, in our life. Our True Source.

(music) I am Not Yours (Z. Randall Stroope lyrics are the poetry of Sara Teasdale, Philippine Madrigal Singers) [5:04] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDKBe6LHgOA

lyrics
I Am Not Yours
Sara Teasdale, 1884 - 1933

I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.

You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.

Oh plunge me deep in love—put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

Your poem also reminds me of the work of St. John of The Cross.

(music) Dark Night Of The Soul (Loreena McKennitt, St John of the Cross, poem-lyrics) [6:27] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MnEwaSdlnk

lyrics
The Dark Night Of The Soul

Upon a dark night
The flame of love was burning in my breast
And by a lantern bright
I fled my house while all in quiet rest

Shrouded by the night
And by the secret stair I quickly fled
The veil concealed my eyes
While all within lay quiet as the dead

Oh night thou was my guide
Of night more loving than the rising sun
Oh night that joined the lover
To the beloved one
Transforming each of them into the other

Upon that misty night
In secrecy, beyond such mortal sight
Without a guide or light
Than that which burned so deeply in my heart
That fire t'was led me on
And shone more bright than of the midday sun
To where he waited still
It was a place where no one else could come

Within my pounding heart
Which kept itself entirely for him
He fell into his sleep
Beneath the cedars all my love I gave
From o'er the fortress walls
The wind would his hair against his brow
And with its smoothest hand
Caressed my every sense it would allow

I lost myself to him
And laid my face upon my lover's breast
And care and grief grew dim
As in the morning's mist became the light
There they dimmed amongst the lilies fair
There they dimmed amongst the lilies fair
There they dimmed amongst the lilies fair

Thanks LF DX

mirage - Thanks for the extensive paraphrasing. As you tend to spiritualise my writing often, it gives me another dimension of the probable meaning of what I write. Writers often don't know what they are writing until they are given the index of kind of their explanation. Thank you for giving me an insight over it. I will bookmark the songs and listen to it in my leisure hours.

Thank you Pearlty. I don't know why I am always compelled from within to majorly portray the dark or sinful side.

I suppose it’s another necessary facet to explore..
your words feel magical to me whether stemming from the darker emotions or lightness.

You're a normal human being, Thequeen.
Nothing wrong-at-all with being Beautiful, sexual, and overflowing like gorgeous perfume and an alluring nectar.

Your answer to me was really SPECIAL by the way.

I think I've seen that you are into eastern philosophies? Familiar with chakras?

Did you know that sexuality and sensuality is a part of the spiritual energetic sap that runs through your body?

Song of Solomon (old testament bible), and Kahlil Gibran?
Sexually racy songs about The Beloved??

The Passion and thick dark lusts you feel in your body towards another person (or, just in general), has a tantric kind of correspondence to the spiritual world.

My God! haha.
To combine having hot lusty sex WITH a (good-person for you) partner who appreciates and has a deeper-spirituality too?? … could blast you to a place that is 'out of this world' Bliss and satisfaction.

Thank you for being sooo understanding and 'sweet' about my always seeing spirituality in your work?!, and for saying that it expands you-- (that is rewarding for me). Know that you {unconsciously?} 'appeal' to an audience you had never considered? {maybe because it's part of your (spiritual) destiny some day??}

I Wish Blessings upon you-- that you find and HAVE a Right-Partner for Life, who will not just appreciate for the hot sexy-being that you are, but will help open you to other dimensions.
… Someone who will see The Best in you, give you Loyal loving support, and help cultivate ALL your Talents.

Happy Holidays to you!

Hey mirage I just read this response of yours and couldn't resist replying. I am deeply moved by your good wishes and hope that someday I truly see that side of my partner.

I am happy you provide such an insightful view into the writing. That is truly rewarding and enriching more than the writing experience itself, so yes keep giving your input or paraphrasing

Stay Blessed!

Thank you sooo much for your encouraging reply, Thequeen.

I hope you and your partner find yourselves in sync where you both renew a delicious rhapsodic Love for each other. More than ever.

Love grows.. deeper and more encompassing, when it is kindled. What's fantastic is that you are able to trust each other in your regular mundane living of life.

I hope it goes UP a notch.
You too, Be Blessed!
