The chill in the air is palpable
and you will not meet my gaze
Such a sudden shift from a week ago
when your encouragement filled my days
Now I'm brushed aside and you huddle in the corner
of your office with a view
You seem to intentionally avoid me
Although I've done nothing to you
I miss your friendly smiles
your kind words and wisdom shared
We've never been that close
but there was empathy in the air
Please let me know how to fix this
or if you've forever shut me down
I hate to be on the outside
and only see your frown ------------------
