A tendency to leap head-first
and overshare from the start
It’s proven unsuccessful
if I aspire to learn your heart

On paper, I can show restraint
be both comical and coy,
In person I wrestle my intensity back down
as I taper and mellow my voice

I trade my rapid-fire inquisitiveness
for a polished and modulated tone
In reining in the curious zeal
your perception I hope to own

I struggle with coming on like a freight train, in both platonic and potentially romantic relationships. This was written after I wrote an article (being published in May) on the process I have taken to toning down my tendencies.

I think my intensity, both from the Aries Rising and the Pluto in the 7th house, can be intimidating. I want to evolve in my interactions and see if it yields more fruitful results....does that make sense?

I may, or may not, be still interested in the man you reference, but I am applying it to small scenarios too.

Oh, and Randall, the smirk is because I am kinda laughing at myself...it is not as easy thing I undertake.

I don't truly "scare" people off, per se, just want to not feel like I am forcing the conversation. I fight the urge to want to keep probing and probing with questions, in an effort to get to know someone better, and I tend to let my enthusiasm run away with me.

I want to rein in the Fire and Scorp energy a little...NOT change permanently, just show my colors a little more slowly.
