Any time I try to break the mold
I wind up flat on my face
Wondering where the path went wrong
and why I am still out of place

Where does this endless path lead,
why do I fumble so badly in the dark?
I can only guess there is divine order
and I'll eventually be given a spark

Longing for the mode of satisfaction
a moment where I'm part of the win
Maybe there is a moment on the horizon
where I won't care if they deserve my grin

I long for a day when I run my trek
Validated and lit from within
Until then I tread lightly on the path
Do my best to calm my internal spin

It was my attempt to rein in the chaos, haha...sometimes, my left brain feels like it is a failure, and I should just give into the right brain creativity. I am pretty equally balanced in that regard, whereas many of those I meet are clearly dominant in one or the other.

I feel more cautiously optimistic than when I wrote this...may the optimism and upward trend continue
