This is why I vowed
to keep my heart locked away
Cause every time I open up
The price is too steep to payI end up weeks and months later
wondering where it all went wrong
I wonder why you will not see me
And why this rejection stings so long I wonder if I was ever on
that radar in your mind
I wonder if it was all a ruse
and you were just being polite and kind This is what my mind does
it runs away from me
It sees where things to not exist
so many possibilities It reminds me why I care too much
and others care so little
It leaves in the lurch too long
with a permanently unsolvable riddle ------------------
