I’d tell my heart to be cautious
stay more neutral, less invested
If I lose my sense of equilibrium
my self control is tested

I love so hard, it hurts to consider
Others may not feel the same
I give my loyalty with nary a pause
I have no guile and play no games

I wish some days I could strategize
take more calculated action
Yet if I had a less passionate soul
I’d also have less need for satisfaction
