I will not let it surface
I’ll hold tight to my illusion
If you don’t ask the questions
I’ll continue hiding my confusion

When the ground continues shaking
and you reach out for a hand
You cannot show your weakness
to those whose attention is bland

I seek the missing sense of self
I yearn to know my worth
I only wish for a time and space
where I possess both purpose and mirth
